Stella Maeve (born in 1961) is an American actor who is best known for the stunning actress in Julia Wicker who appeared on The Magicians. Maeve, who is Native American and originally from New York, was born in the state of New York. She's a mix of Blackfoot and Cherokee. In 2005 she made her debut on film in the short Liminality. She also made her big-screen debut in 2005 on the critically acclaimed drama Transamerica. In the same season, she also made her TV debut in the fourth season of Law & Order Criminal Intent. Nadia Decotis became a part of Dick Wolf's Chicago brand Chicago P.D. . She played the character from 2015 and reprised the role in Law & Order Special Victims Unit the show of Wolf s other TV franchise. That same year she began playing Julia Wicker, the main female character on Syfy s fantasy-drama The Magicians. Stella Maeve began to establish herself in the TV industry however she continued her work in independent films. The Robert Altman Award was awarded to her in 2012 as a casting actor in the 2012 drama Starlet at the Film Independent Spirit Awards.
