Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her first amateur appearance at 18 in WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd felt more confident following the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all during the first round. Then she returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen a unanimous defeat and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's amateur career. Ladd rebounded from her loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record to 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the one round with a TKO. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen utilized the techniques she learned from wrestling to beat McGill. She ended her bout via an KO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in an "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimity. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by grounding and pounding her to the ground, gaining the TKO in the second round. Ladd remained in the lead and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd was victorious in round one and received the Performance of the Night Prize. The first big fight she fought in was during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters received their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, lost to Randamie. For a replacement last minute for her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority verdict.
