Bella Poarch's biological Filipino parents had her in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997. Her mother lived in areas of slums for three years until she turned 3 years old, when she was adopted. Her adopted family is comprised by an Filipino adoptive mom and white American army veteran. She alleges that she as well as her adopted brother and their mother were subjected to abuse in their childhoods until they joined the military. Her family traveled across the country to San Francisco for a few months to live with her aunt prior to moving to Texas at the age of 13 due the need of her father to have a bypass procedure. Though the physical violence stopped however, she claimed to have still suffered mental assault from her father in the home. In 18 years she was enlisted in her in the United States Navy. Poarch was the first to join TikTok in the month of April, 2020 rapidly gaining fame. The site grew to over 40 million followers within less than 8 months. She uploaded many videos and the one that became her most popular was her rendition of Millie B's viral hit Soph Aspin Send. The video became one of the TikTok's most viewed videos. The clip zoomed in on her dancing while lip-syncing to the song became a viral hit. The actress started her YouTube and Twitter accounts during the time following joining TikTok to benefit from her growing fame. Poarch's fame peaked around the month of December in 2020. Two major Esports professional clubs were reportedly interested in her. FaZe Clan & 100 Thieves have both expressed an interest in hiring the creator of the content as part of their brand.
